Earlier this month we announced the arrival of Anna Podolan, a 17-year old engineering student from Austria who joined our North Yorkshire shredding team on a one month work placement.
From day one she got stuck into her new role and despite it being her first visit to the UK, she’s settled in perfectly – so much so, the weeks have flown and her time with us is now coming to an end.
Now, as she prepares for her final few days with UNTHA UK, Anna shares some thoughts about her jam-packed four weeks:
“I’m very sad that I have to leave UNTHA UK after a month of great work experience. During my internship I have been part of a great team and had the opportunity to get involved in the company’s processes from the very beginning.
Because of the fast-paced nature of the business and the variety of client projects that UNTHA works on, I had the chance to support the team with a wide range of activities, giving me an extensive insight into the world of work.
Every day I tackled different tasks and challenges which fitted perfectly with my education at the Technical College. I also got a fantastic insight into what life in England is like. I enjoyed exploring the surrounding area and I’m really impressed!
I hoped that after my four weeks, I could improve my technical knowledge, which I can use for my education, and also my English. I haven’t been disappointed. I know that all of the experiences I’ve had during my time in the UK, will stay with me long into the future.”
