Keen to raise our profile within pioneering industry bodies, UNTHA UK has joined the PPMA – the processing and packaging machinery association.
Representing UK suppliers of processing and packaging tech, the PPMA has over 500 members and associate companies. It exists to promote the benefits of machine innovations, both domestically and overseas, so that the market constantly has access to the latest technical information and advice.
So it is perhaps no surprise that we wanted UNTHA’s machinery to stand out when the association is talking about waste and recycling kit.
UNTHA UK’s chairman Chris Oldfield explains: “The PPMA helps support manufacturers and processors of everything ranging from food and pharmaceuticals, to chemicals and automotive. It connects these organisations with the suppliers of machinery that will make their operations smarter, more productive and more efficient. It is important that recycling is considered within that decision making process.”
With a variety of shredding technology in our range of machinery, UNTHA can supply everything from high performance plastic and packaging shredders, to shredders that turn unwanted pallets into a homogenous, high quality wood chip for recycling or biomass.
We also have versatile low-wear shredders ideal for maximising product recovery and/or recycling rates from production and manufacturing waste. We can even support processors with the secure destruction of branded products or other sensitive/confidential waste streams.
Chris continues: “We constantly hear about the value and importance of closed loop business models. It is therefore crucial that manufacturers think about the machinery that will help them with the downstream processing of excess or waste materials, not just the initial production of goods.”
As part of the membership package, UNTHA UK will also be exhibiting at the PPMA Show. Taking place from 26-28 September at the NEC Birmingham, visitors will be able to speak to the UNTHA team about their recycling requirements as well as seeing some of the shredding machinery in action. Pre-registration for the event is essential.
