Industrial shredding specialist UNTHA UK has joined the British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA) as the team’s expertise in this field becomes increasingly renowned.
Offering a range of heavy duty shredders, UNTHA UK is capable of handling virtually any material. But in the last two years the company has developed a particularly strong reputation in three key fields:
- Alternative fuel production (i.e. waste to energy, RDF, SRF and biomass)
- Security shredding (ranging from confidential wastes through to product destruction)
- Metals and WEEE.
Membership of the BMRA will therefore help cement UNTHA UK’s position in this complex area of recycling.
Commenting on the organisation’s hopes for the next year’s membership, UNTHA UK’s chairman Chris Oldfield said: “The BMRA is a real ‘heavyweight’ when it comes to metal recycling. They’re a go to resource in the sector and a knowledgeable body driving continued industry progress. Their values mirror what we are trying to achieve for scrap metal merchants, MRFs and other metal recyclers, so the membership made perfect sense.
“I look forward to supporting them with their 2017 activity and getting to know more member organisations.”
The CEO of the BMRA Robert Fell is set to speak at one of UNTHA UK’s upcoming events – a showcase dedicated to making more money from metals in 2017. Taking place on Tuesday 6 December, Robert will be a keynote speaker offering insight into the current metals recycling landscape and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Whilst delegate places are limited, there are some slots remaining – pre-registration is essential (see: http://www.untha.co.uk/showcase/).
