In our latest Q&A, we discover what new administrator Caroline thinks of the innovative XR mobil-e shredder, the best thing about her role at UNTHA, and what she couldn’t live without!
Name: Caroline Brown
Job title: Administrator
- What does your role entail?
I provide administrative support to both the sales and after-sales teams. In addition, I am the first point of contact for customers and suppliers. My role is extremely varied – I deal with a whole range of enquiries, but I love this diversity.
- How long have you been with the company?
Since the middle of February, so a little over 3 months. It has flown by – it feels like I have always been here! That’s largely because I’m surrounded by a friendly and welcoming team, and I realise where I ‘fit in’ to the bigger picture.
- What’s the best thing about your job?
First and foremost, the people that I work with – both my UNTHA colleagues and the customers.
Secondly, the complete variety of my role – no day is ever the same and I am never without a task to complete!
- For you, which is UNTHA’s stand-out shredder?
That would be the XR mobil-e! The XR shredder has become world-renowned, and it is exciting that we can now offer such a flexible solution as a mobile concept.
- Which is your favourite UNTHA project?
I’ve really enjoyed watching the XR mobil-e roadshows unfold – events which have allowed us to demonstrate the unparalleled flexibility of a new electronically driven mobile machine. The feedback has been phenomenal, and the potential this machine has to help with the growth of our business is unrivalled.
- What’s been your biggest work achievement, since joining UNTHA?
My ability to take complete control of the telephone answering service in the office, and becoming a dedicated and professional first point of contact for all our callers. I believe this has enabled my UNTHA colleagues to concentrate wholly on their own roles, safe in the knowledge that all enquiries are being expertly handled!
- Describe UNTHA in three words:
Innovative, excellence and ambitious.
And finally some more light-hearted questions:
- What’s your favourite food?
Anything involving chocolate.
- How do you relax on a weekend?
I enjoy catching up and spending quality time with my friends and family.
- If you were stranded on a desert island, what is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
My photo collection – I am a bit obsessive over taking pictures due to the memories they hold. (I was going to say my mobile phone – but then I suppose I would just call someone to come and rescue me)!
